Premiere: Aleja Sanchez - The Sacred Temple [NTSRAI005]
The fifth and final chapter of the ‘’Raíces’’ VA arrives on Northallsen Records, curated once again by Colombian producer and label head Aleja Sanchez. Initiated in 2022, Raíces was born during a pivotal turning point in her life: a personal and artistic renewal following a major pause. “I needed to find coherence in my career, my sound, and within myself,” she shares. The series became a space for reconnection, both with the roots of her artistic practice and with the organic energies that inspire it.
The tracklist reflects a meeting point between generations. While Dino Sabatini has long stood as a figure of influence, inspiration and close collaboration for Aleja, newer connections with artists like Vardae and Vand have emerged from mutual artistic understanding and a shared sensibility toward nature’s presence in sound. The common thread is a commitment to sonic identity and emotional depth, which are qualities that have come to define Northallsen’s voice.
Aleja’s track named ‘’The Sacred Temple’’ which is in the premiere spotlight today, reflects both continuity and evolution. Known for her atmospheric and subtly ritualistic approach to deep techno, Aleja has long woven ambient textures, ancestral rhythms, and meticulous sound design into sonic landscapes that feel timeless and grounded. With this new track, she edges deeper into her own hypnotic universe, and her sound remains immersive as ever transporting us to sacred lands.

‘‘Every artist invited to this series possesses a strong, yet innovative sound identity.’’
Her curatorial vision has always carried intention. With Raíces V, she brings together a constellation of voices who explore the invisible thread between the ancestral and the contemporary. “Every artist invited to this series possesses a strong, yet innovative sound identity,” she explains. ‘‘I am committed to interacting with artists who dare to push the boundaries of sound and develop a unique voice (a genuine artistic proposal unconcerned with public opinion), while simultaneously conveying emotion and an organic feel. Vardae is definitely one artist I admire because he is expertly pushing the boundaries between different genres within electronic music.’’
Though Raíces concludes here, Aleja hints at new paths unfolding. “I’ve been developing a very special project related to Colombia. I can’t wait to share more soon.” While recovering from the familiar strain of long studio hours, Aleja remains energized and inspired. As we are waiting to hear more exciting announcements, this closing chapter of the successful VA series offers a meditative pause and a space to reflect on the cycles we complete and the new ones that emerge. Press play and enjoy Aleja’s track, and don’t forget to buy the music on Bandcamp and support your favorite artists.
